With both commercial and residential space, the building is another “bold statement” in the neighborhood, said architect Carl Posewitz, with Paradigm V2 Architects. It represents the type of mixed use and infill project people talk about in Missoula.
“It just seems to be one of the few projects lately that really embodies that idea,” said Posewitz, who noted the Meadow Gold building down the road was another one.
It isn’t always easy to design a project that nails consumer demand, he said. Subtle shortcomings have done other projects in, such as a lack of onsite parking or outdoor living space, but he likes hearing the Morgan Building is leasing up. Maurer Construction also worked on the project.

“I know some of them are rented already, so we’ll just keep our fingers crossed that the rest of them will fill up. That’ll indicate that the demand is out there and hopefully more projects will come online to satisfy it,”
